Some kid (like a 20 year old) in my neighborhood just got a bright blue 981 Cayman S. It is sooooooooo nice

Who can speak out against the Boxster/Cayman combo?

Raza did last page.. Not speaking out against per se but noting why there are better cars (for the money). I knew an older American when I was in Germany (2001-2004), who had lifelong dream to buy a Porsche. Ended up with a Z4, he drove both and just said it was a better car for the money.

Agree to disagree?

If you need the hugest trunk known to man in a 5seat "crossover", it is an acceptable choice.

Do you hate the SC400:

Or the SC430:

Fair.

The first one isn't exactly my cup of tea, but I don't hate it.  It was an impressive car for it's time, although grossly overpriced, IMO.

The second one is an embarrassment to Toyota and to anyone clueless enough to pay good money for it.  It's hard to believe a leading manufacturer could make a car so comically bad.  It's as if some hard-up Chinese company deliberately set out to make a Mercedes SL copy using cast-off 1980s-vintage Korean materials.

I wouldn't say it copies anything -- it just looks terrible.

The SC430 was clearly a shameless ripoff of the R129 Mercedes Benz SL.  The SC430's designer obviously held a blurry photocopy of the Mercedes up to a funhouse mirror in order to achieve the SC's dumpy, misshapen exterior but the tell-tale influences are still there.  Stick a three-pointed star on the nose and you'd be forgiven for assuming this was a rejected SL styling proposal, turned in by a rookie designer moments before getting fired and being escorted off the premises by Mercedes Benz security.

Yes, it is THAT bad!!!

I like many 911's. But not all of them. And right now I'd rather buy a cayman over any 911.

What is it you don't like about the 911? Even the 996 is good IMO.
You know what? Some of them are just butt ugly. And overrated.

Now understand that overrated in no way = bad.

A lot of 911s don't sound very good. Dunno why people say they do.

Not sure about the mustang. Looked at one the other day and wasn't in love with it. Possible it could grow on me.

I felt the same way about the C7. And it never grew on me. As a matter if fact I now find it ugly.

I have just never liked them.  The engine is in the wrong place, the styling hasn't changed much in 50 years, options are incredibly overpriced, it looks terrible as a vert., and if a Cayman had the same power, it would walk on a 911.

I kinda liked the C7 when it was released, but the first time I saw one on the road, it looked just like the C6 to me. I don't think it looks Ferrari-esque at all like a lot of people say.

Engine is in a great spot for launching and braking.
