So I would LOOVE a new(er) car, but we're going to hold off.

I'll google but anyone know offhand how much $$ for an aftermarket sunroof/moonroof to be installed?

My car has no roofrack so seems should be simple.

Depends on what you want. Most are around $1200-1500 installed.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Ok, to be honest, that seems a bit silly in a car with air conditioning; and only slightly less silly in a car without.

My Miata budget is $2000 for purchase - as soon as I close on house.

I have only seen disasters from aftermarket sunroofs anyway.  They leak.

hard to find good ones in that range, but doable.

Last time I looked at used Miatas the prices were nuts.  Only thing you were going to get for $5k or less either didn't run, had significant damage, or looked like it had been somebody's thoroughly abused track day car.

Is that a Rustland phenomenon? Miata prices in the west more or less bottomed out a decade ago-- $4-5k for a good NA, $2.5-3.5 for a high mileage but decent car on a good day.

It is a rust belt thing. I
High milegae, but running NAs can be found easily for under $3000 here in the southeast. I expect to pay $2000 for one that may need minor repairs, but is driveable
