What kind of tires are you looking at?  There are plenty of good tires for less than $250 per.  Unless you feel like spending a grand.

BFG KO2 275/70/R17.

That's everything out the door.  This is what I'm asking them to do:

- Take old wheels & tires, remove tires, batch one of them
- Rebuild TPMS sensors
- Install TPMS sensors on new wheels
- Mount and balance new tires on new wheels
- Buy back my old tires
- Give me my old wheels without tires on them.

I'll likely get $60-$70 in value for my old tires.  So It'll be more like $950 or so.

I don't have BFGs, and they were the same price as the Bridgestone Revos that I did get. More tire than I need, even with my snowy icy 50 mile including a mountain pass commute. Actually, the Revos might be better in snow than the BFGs.

I just go to Tire Rack and read a bunch of reviews until I find a good balance between quality and price.
