Holy shit.  Not much progress in top speed, but I'm loving that ass and interior.

How do the doors open? It looks like the glass would hit that hideous weird curve overhang thing?

Also not a fan of the ass. Looks like they just phoned it in with the taillight and just put an LED strip there because they ran out of ideas.

If there's a clearance issue, the windows probably have a self-dropping feature that drops them enough to clear when the door handle is pulled.  Assuming the windows are frameless as they were on the Veyron.  My brother's G35 had this feature. For what, I do not know. Better seal, I guess.

Not sure about the G35 (my dad's G37 sedan has framed doors) but my friend told me BMW coupes do this because they have a window seal that seals on both sides of the glass, and in order for the door to be opened, the window has to drop a little out of the seal so the door can swing out.

My poverty Mazda just has a single sided seal against the hard top where the glass just presses against the seal from the outside.

Mustang has done that since 2005 and I'm sure Camaro does it too.

My dad's '71 Camaro is just a single sided seal. It actually seals better if you roll the window up with the door open, then close it. But most new coupes I've seen do that fancy window drop.

Every frameless door I've seen has had that window drop feature, with the exception of Subarus. I was really surprised when I saw they didn't have that. As a result, if two people try to close doors at the same time on opposite sides of a Subaru, the doors do not close.

When the Veyron came out I was impressed. Oh, the car was basically a pony car of yore for the (very) rich , something for straight line speed, and a spec sheet to look at, none the less it was almost magic, it's numbers put it in a different league. It almost made the original asking price of € 1 Million seem somewhat rational. 10 years later the Chiron costs 150% more for, well the same transmission, and basically the same engine. I guess it is impressive that VW got the thermal management sorted out to an extent that they can now start to uncork the engine, however this seems like almost a facelift. For 150% more I would expect a top speed of 500kmh.

I would rather a Veyron with an APR stage 2 tune

Or a Golf R with an APR stage 3 tune

Sounds like the top speed is governed, which is why it's barely faster than the Veyron.  Wouldn't surprise me if the limiting factor is tires.

This is what they said in the EVO video

Not sure what more top speed would do anyway. It's like going from a 6' dick to a 7' one.

They should only be compared to women.

Penises should only be compared to politicians.

Love this car. If I was a billionaire I would definitely want to buy one.

IMHO the Chiron looks better than the Veyron. There are obviously similarities and the overall shape cannot change too much, but they did a good job on updating the style. The interior is gorgeous IMHO.

The Zonda is still hot, but the Huayra has never been attractive to me.  I think the best looking supercar on the market right now is the Huracan.  The Ford GT is going to take that title though when it is released later this year.
