Shot for Auto Classic Magazine. Theme: affordable classics for under 5,000 Euros.

The Mercedes has a [crap] manual transmission and some funky seat cloth themes. It's got the second lowest engine option and overall is in great shape. For a base model it's pretty well spec'd, but it needs an automatic transmission. Mercedes' manuals from this era were CRAP. Still are.

The Renault was pretty cool, especially the revolver transmission. Look at the photo of the engine bay where you can see a protruding metal tube over the motor; that tube changes the gears! The Renault is FWD and the transmission is ahead of the longitudinally mounted engine.
