Yep.  I don't think I would need AWD in a sports sedan though if I had a utility vehicle that could handle snow.  The roads are snow covered here only 20 days a year here if I had to guess.  I'd be alright with a RWD sedan.  No idea when, but I'm banking the father-in-law will get tired of driving manual at some point with his new Chevy SS

Well, what if there are two drivers who need to go somewhere in the snow?

I, too, am all about the multi car lineup.

Somehow I got it wrong by getting two RWD two seaters and three motorcycles, but I'll figure it out one day.

C&D is pretty hard to read now. Their new layout has a lightweight font and an incoherent layout (inconsistent margins, overflowing text, etc)

You guys need to get the hell away from snow country. Blegh. 1 car (RWD sedan) + 1 or 2 bikes (street + track) would be enough for me. To be fair MIL has a minivan and wifey is prob getting a crossover, but I have carried wood beams in the Z with all doors/windows closed.

Amen to that, my white brother! Sports car plus SUV/wagon is the ideal two car solution. And if you're on a three car plan, add in an AWD compact sports sedan with a manual.

These three and I'll never need to buy a car again.

Good thing all 3 of those should come with service loaners when they all inevitably will end up in the shop for one electrical issue or another

Raza has had no issue with any German car (except Benzes), so nobody else will either.

That's why my lineup is better than Raza's.  Impeccable, naturally aspirated, Japanese reliability.

I was going to type "Japanese cars are for peasants" but I figured I'd just wait

I got this month's C&D and they drove the regular Giulia. Pretty positive on the driving experience, even with the automatic, and they like the infotainment too. However, as a car, kind of falls short with an uncompetitive back seat and trunk

I'd gladly trade my VW for something from the Japanese big 3.

Something like the Civic surely baffles the whole of ze German auto industry - they can't replicate that quality or reliability at any price. Unfortunately, with the collapse of Infiniti and Acura, Japanese (performance) cars are virtually non existent except for the Lexus -F cars, and the only one worth a hoot there is the GS-F.

SJ_GTI

Speaking of civics I parked next to one today...first time I really saw it up close. I was stunned how big it look (not sure if it is just perception or reality TBH)...didn't even realize it was a Civic at first.

The new ones are a lot wider.  Length doesn't appear that different, but they look nearly Accord-sized from the front due to the added width.

The next Accord will be built on the civics chassis

According to road and track the Quadrofoglio is boosted to 35 psi. That's 50HP/l normalized for boost

Lol, they're not even advertising leases here yet, but if you build a car on their website biweekly lease payments are $265 with nothing down. FCA is going to get annihilated in this market...

Correction: they're not even offering leases in Canada at all.

The base trims look really really cheap now that I'm used to seeing nothing but the quadrofoglio.

I think it still looks pretty good. You can get a sport package and the QF wheels from the looks of their configurator. Price is not bad but unfortunately no manuel con Giulia.

12,000 RPM

If it's fast enough I could live without the manual. That's what the second vehicle is for.
