I guess I'm way behind the times because it stopped publication back in 2009, but today at the store while looking at the magazine shelves I realized that I haven't seen that magazine for quite a while.

It's a real shame because it was a pretty funny and good magazine.

This was probably one of my favorite pieces from them.

Anyway I feel that the whole import modified car scene is not what it used to be back in the 90s and early 2000s.  Just like Japan I think American youths are focusing on social media and other outlets rather than their vehicles.

Was that Dave Coleman's mag? I think that kind of lives on at Motoiq.com

It was a good mag, and I used to subscribe. I couldn't believe it when it died.

It's sad... I remember back in the day our group use to go to Barnes and Nobles and browse through the huge selection of car magazines and car related books.

Now you go there and there is maybe a half dozen car magazines on the shelf and the "transportation" book section literally got turned into the gender "transformation" section

Was Sport Compact a sister magazine to GRM or did I make that up?

Wrong. It was a brother magazine.

That was fantastic!  I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through.

There are more car mags there now than when I used to go as a kid. Big addition was all those British mags

Article was a trip down memory lane

I remember reading that article back in the magazine.

Was a decent magazine, not much around for magazines anymore.
