This company is exhausting to follow.  One of the shorts on Twitter described it best.

It's like a bad tv show.  It should have been canceled after season 3.  But now we're in season 5.  All the actors have been killed off except Elon.  And the plot gets weirder and crazier every single day to the point it's hard to keep up with.  And yet it still goes on!   Can this thing file chapter 11 so the book and movie can finally start being written?

If their wish comes true, and Tesla just fucks off and dies, they'll have to do something else.
Which they may not want.
So it might be in their best interests for Tesla to stick around.
