It's just another generic faceless design to match it's soulless driving experience

Looks much much better IMO.

I like the new look also.

Despite all the publicity with the robotaxi and the robots, this is Tesla's most important launch (relaunch?).  The Model Y basically is Tesla.

I think if driving impressions are similar to the Highland Model 3, then this will be a solid buy.  I had a lot of friends and family ask about buying a Model Y, especially since I can refer them for a discount (and some perks for me), but I've told them all to hold off for the Juniper update.

It looks a lot better, much less anonymous.

Are those headlights functional or are the projectors down low a la the Cybertruck?

The Cybertruck's low lights produce a lot of harsh glare in wet weather since they are A) really bright and B) close to the surface of puddles. I hope this doesn't adopt a similar solution.

Look at the hood's front edge. It's now a horizontal overhang across the front rather than a hatch lid with panel-to-panel seams all around the perimeter. Much easier to align. This is identical to the contrast between my G37 and the CX-5. If the hood alignment on the Infiniti is off by more than a gnat's pube it stands out like a sore thumb. On the Mazda they could easily get away with a millimeter difference between one side & the other, maybe two. Nobody's going to notice. Cheaper to manufacturer, fewer redos.

There's also simplification with the rear liftgate. No more split lights & difficult-to-align seam at the bottom. Easier & cheaper assembly processes at both ends of the car.

Cost cutting gets Tesla fans hot and bothered and I don't know why.

Yes I confess I had to rub one out when I was contemplating that.
(Not as stimulating as watching videos about old telephone switching equipment though.)

Ugh - fawning "Oh... My... God..."

Tesla did not have a super stellar year last year. But Audi's was worse.
