4 people (and a dog) + a ton of fire wood all fit for camping this weekend.

Thinking about picking up some snow tires for the coming ski season. I've already bought my ski pass.

How do you not have some massive and tacky looking bright red rally armor mudflaps??

Damn, rally armor doesn't sell flaps for my car but I did find some red ones. :mask:

23.2 mpg out of this tank, fully loaded with people and gear and driving WOT for a lot of it trying to make it up mountains.

notbad.jpg again.

That being said, this car really needs at least an extra 30-50 hp. I had to downshift into 4th (and sometimes 3rd) every time there was an incline, and passing was pretty much impossible since a lot of times I wouldn't even be able to do the speed limit.

I'm tempted to do a 2.5L swap down the line. Ideally I'd do a flat 6 swap but I don't know how and it won't get passed smog here.

How often do you run fully loaded, though?  It's built for it, embrace it.

True, it's not a problem when it's unloaded and I'm just commuting in it, but I'm hoping to go skiing at least a few times a month...

More power just means more tire spin in the snow.  Low power and lots of weight = mega traction.

How will I do mad skids in the snow though?

I just want to go skiing at this point to drive the car in the snow to prove my friends wrong that my car will get stuck since it's low. I CAN'T WAIT.

JDM WRX swap. Need boost at altitude

I want an EJ207 to go with my V7 STI wheels.

Biggest things are wiring and smog. AFAIK everything in the EJ/EG series should just bolt straight up to my chassis and transmission, but getting the thing running properly is the biggest hurdle.

I could see it getting somewhat expensive quickly. You would probably need a tune and a decent cat.

I think a regular EJ25 can be swapped in a day. Basically everything bolts right up.

NOPE, I don't live in counties that do emissions.    :mrcool:

Don't you live somewhere where it's flat and boring? I'll take my emissions and miles of fun, twisty roads and mountains over that boring place.

You don't live in NY anymore?

Upstate NY. And in Utah, SC, GA, TN, lived in counties that didn't require emissions. Oh and all of Wyoming. ;)

Just that forsaken MD time period did we have to worry about it.

Yeah, just need a fun car.

Wife's car is better than van but I hate weak 4pots with slushie transmissions. And it's definitely not a road-hugger, sits up a little too high.

(And no, there's NO WAY she would want it lowered or modded.)
