Eh, we just took a tent and tarp and 4 chairs and food. It's just that with 4 people everything else adds up (sleeping bags, clothes, etc).

I'm super tempted to just go camp by myself. When I went camping about a month ago with the Subaru, my friends brought so much shit because they needed their full breakfast (they cooked omelettes and bacon FFS). This last time was way more fun.

Worst camping trip was with my buddies when we brought 2 cases of bottled beer on top of all of our gear and didn't realize we had to walk about 2 miles to the campsite...

Yeah, that trip had way too many coolers full of alcohol. Thankfully we didn't have to walk to the campsite.

Hucking coolers blowwwwwws.  Did it once, up a trail to a clifftop.  Never again.  If I ever have to do significant walking to camp, I'll take a bottle of liquor, preferably plastic. hah

Bought some beefy 3/16" skid plate for the front under the engine and rear diff.

Now I can get my snow plow on.

The car didn't even come with the plastic undertray so the filter and oil pan are just hanging out all exposed. I don't want to smack something in the snow and destroy my engine, especially since I'm lowered. With the tires this thing should be a beast in the snow.

I was dicking around in my FWD Monte Carlo in the snow way back in the day (I'd "modified" the pedal parking brake so it didn't ratchet...just push to slide) and ended up going nose first into a snowbank.  Got out, but all the snow tore the serpentine belt off and I barely got it home. lol kids.

Dat feel when your $250 piece of aluminum doesn't come with the proper hardware to install it onto your car.

I might as well do an oil change before putting the skid plate on. If I don't get lazy tonight I'll try and put the rear skid plate on, but that involves moving the diff around to get the plate into place, which sounds like more work than I want to do on a weeknight.

The car is stupid quick downhill. I pulled away from the WRX and M5, mainly because of my cheater tires and the fact that I'm an idiot.

Ehh, top box is 50 lb max (37 lb unloaded but I had some folding chairs in there  ). Outback is almost 300 lb lighter than the WRX, so even with the top box it's still 250 lb lighter.

M5 is almost 4100 lb, so my car is damn near 1000 lb lighter than that.

Falken RT615K only $430 shipped on closeout right now (RT615K+ came out).

Super tempting, to be honest. These Federals are so loud my ears are dying.

All 4. I've only got 3k miles on my current tires, but I can just sit on these for a while, or sell the Federals since they're so loud.

Do it.

Does Falken still have a $100 rebate on the new +'s?

I'm not seeing that on TR's site. Even the new +'s are pretty cheap ($113 a tire), but after shipping they end up being about $100 more than the RSRR's.

I think the original 615k's are pretty close in price to the RSRR's. I paid $530 mounted and balanced for mine.
