Bruised a few knuckles did you?

Mainly my ego. Also a lot of regret buying said skid plate.

I'd post about the shenanigans but it makes me depressed to even think about.

Nobody said anything about weekly track days. Dont do that.

And Raza even while I was in motorcycle mode I was still playing Forza almost daily and following the industry. Modern cars are a bit boring.... iterative and strangled by shareholders and regulators. Outside of Tesla, which has its own problems, what is there to be excited about? Even shit like the Ford GT is just the same old same old... "some engineers working in secret to build a race car for the street" Wow, just what we needed. Where are the new ideas? So on the car side no I'm not very excited, there's no reason to be. But driving is still driving, thank God.

Automotive engineering has hit a pinnacle. The level of advancement has gotten so high that radical new ideas aren't going to work like they did in the olden days. The knowledge and 'what works' level has gotten so high that most SUVs look basically the same, most sedans look basically the same, most engines are roughly the same, because it's what works. There's no undiscovered magic, (minus maybe Mazda's new engine, if it pans out).

I'm probably a 3.

My enthusiasm for cars revolves mainly around their design, their history and impact and practicality. How they drive or perform is not really that important to me. The car that appeals to me needs to look good, be practical, comfortable, have acceptable performance and fuel economy and be blessed with decent handling.

So I like practical cars, and on the other hand I love classic cars. I attend classic car shows and my photography business mainly revolves around vintage automobiles. That's where my passion lies. Classic cars mean freedom to me. They come from an era when there was total freedom for designers and engineers - unlike today where the government tells car companies how to design cars; literally.

Call me a car design, car heritage and car practicality enthusiast, not a driving enthusiast.

Agree.  Just the act of identifying and labeling the cars in all the photos suggests something bordering on obsession with certain Euro and classic cars.

I think we should expand further if Forza's makes a person a driving enthusiast or a video game enthusiast

I think I'm at about a 5 or 6.

I like manual transmissions and sharp handling, but I also like good fuel economy.

I started flipping because I realized I liked the thrill of buying and selling versus the actual wrenching. Not to say that I can't wrench on things, but it's not worth my time to fix.

lol VTEC can't touch a real 2 stroke engine for power delivery.

Modern VTEC is so watered down it's not even fun anymore.

I think it would be fun to start a small used car business with like two other people. One main front man and general purchaser/seller, a mechanic, and a detailer.

If 5/10 is 'average' interest then I'm maybe a...6-7?

If 1/10 is 'average' (0/10 being "no interest") then I'm maybe a 3?

I am an unthusiast, I just don't care much anymore.
