Looks good.  Black is a better colour for it.

I just hope it stays clean- I've washed my car maybe 5 times the last 5 years???....

This van needs some TLC, it's got some nasty big scratches on both sides.

The need to constantly wash black colored cars I don't buy.  I washed my black beetle in the three years I owned it maybe three times.  Sure it looked awesome and sparkled when it was washed but the rest of the time it looked fine too.  No one ever fingerprinted "wash me" on my car.  In the winter I even appreciated it's dusty look patina.

Realized we don't have headphones for the DVD player. Some knockoffs are under $20 each, and there are wire headphone jacks in the 3rd row. I forgot all about the weird "infrared wireless headphones" (I bought a DVD for the Toyota van I had 2009-divorce (2013))...

Aaaaand rear tire was losing air. Stupid nail, always too close to the sidewall to plug.

Turns out that was a "Douglas" brand tire when the others were Cooper grand touring CS5 something or others.

Now they all match but that one tire has a bit of tread more than the others.  Not super lots. Just a bit.

Just finished making rootbeer floats on July 4th when neighbor calls that the thump we heard and just thought was a cat jumping down from the window was a tree limb hitting our van.

Safelite quote is $590 but can't do it for a week or more. Not really worth the $500 deductible and possibly taking hit on rates. Funny enough this van had a collision on carfax when we bought it- previous owner in VA had a limb fall on it and replaced windshield, hood, and front left fender.

Most annoying part is we use this to carry lots of disc golf discs to sales events- the truck can carry but not sure they'll fit under toneau cover and it's supposed to rain tomorrow when we scheduled and advertised to sell.  :rage:  :rage:

Just a little, but branch and tree looked healthy.

Maybe look into whether you have to pay a deductible for windshield replacement and if you do use insurance, will your rates go up for windshield replacement.

I bumped our deductible up awhile back (we haven't had a claim in 10yrs knock on wood) to $500.

Safelite was $590 but I didn't finish the appointment and hours later they emailed me a $50 discount code LOL.
Plus first appointment is July 16. Other local place (in business 35 years!) is only $325 and supposedly can do it next week.

In either case I'm taking it to them- rather than have them come to the house and realize that they can't just remove the one piece of glass and reschedule.

Wife was like, "just tape it over" but I don't want to mess up the paint and look all ghetto. Fortunately we actually use our 2car garage for 2 cars. So Maverick has to sleep outside for a bit.

And we rented a Uhaul van for disc golf sales tomorrow. I could CRAM TIGHT to get most of the stuff we need into Maverick, but it's also supposed to rain heavy in the afternoon, I don't want everything to get wet while we're tetris-ing and trying to not scratch the backseat up with stacks of heavy plastic crates....

Insurance companies seem to be upping their deductibles a lot lately and they ding you for any type of claim. I was going to add towing to my insurance recently and my insurance agent said it would probably be better to get AAA as it wouldn't cost any more and I wouldn't have my insurance rates go up if I had to use it.

Yeah, best to "self-insure" as much as possible.

It would be nice if everyone had enough money in reserve to cover the cost of replacing their house, vehicles and furnishings in the case that their house burned down. Sadly, many people would struggle to cover a couple of months of house payments let alone the whole house.
