It's illegal in the US I think, so it's not coming here.

Audi E-Tron has it in Europe, but gets conventional mirrors here.
2019 - Although largely unused by American drivers anyway, conventional door mirrors remain compulsory in the USA.
2025 - Aerodynamic drag from the US's vestigial unneeded door mirrors proves to be the CO2 emissions tipping point for runaway global warming.
2030 - World ends because of door mirrors.

This is the same federal organization that forbade non-circular headlamps until the late 1970s and mandated glass headlamp lenses until the 1980s.

I would argue that they were right in their suspicion of non glass mirrors, and should not have succumbed to lobbying.

Everything about it sounds cool, such a shame it isn't for North America (at least for now). The reported "low" range doesn't bother me and I don't live in anything like an urban environment. 124 miles seems fine for most suburban trips and probably would be fine in most exurbs as well.

Supposedly gets 80% of a charge in 30min too.

Exactly the US, and EU should not have caved in here.

That takes years, and can be buffed out in 15 minutes with a little plastic polish.

FWIW, I've had glass lenses get hazed/frosted by several seasons of being sand-blasted by the winter roads here.  Only remedy was to replace the glass.

Glass also can't be as easily or inexpensively formed into the aerodynamic shapes that polycarbonate can.

Any pricing discussions?  At $20k, this thing would sell like crazy in the US.  At $50k, not at all.

I heard $150K, but it has a 0-60 of 1.8 seconds and laps the Nurburgring in under 6 minutes.  But I'm not sure.
