I've emailed him a couple of times when I find a local prospect. Seems his limit is $10-$12k, which is amazballs considering some of his collection. He says he gets most all his leads from channel subscribers selling a car (such as an estate sale) or simply from Facebook marketplace.

My first visit to the USA was in 1979. I was best man at a wedding outside Philadelphia. The father of the bride had a loaded 1972 Mercury Grand Marquis Brougham.

Despite my being only 22, he let me drive it. It was a revelation: utterly huge, utter silent inside, and a completely isolated pillowy ride. I remember opening the hood and wondering at the A/C compressor being not much smaller than the engine in my Vauxhall Chevette back home.

I guess the car was eight years old by then - so the ravages of winter road salt had taken hold. I have a photo somewhere and you can see rust had eaten through in places in the lower fenders.

Great series: Top 10 best looking GM cars of the 1960s (sans sports, pony and muscle cars):

10.) 1960 Buick - disagree, bridges '50s and '60s styling and not all that well
9.) 1965 Impala - agree, redefined everyman styling, best selling car, even in absolute, in US history (1M units!)
8.) 1965 Cadillac - agree
7.) 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix - agree-ish, overall done very well and high quality
6.) 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix - meh, defined the "personal luxury coupe" that would rule the '70s
5.) 1966 Buick Riviera - agree, one of the best
4.) 1965 Buick Riviera - agree, THE best styled vehicle of the '60s on the whole planet
3.) 1966 Old Toronado - agree, one of the best
2.) 1960 Cadillac - quite an eye full but same as #10
1.) 1967 Cadillac Eldorado - agree, one of the best

The 1963 Pontiac Parisienne/Grand Prix is the best looking GM of the '60s, IMO, especially the convertible, either White or Black.  Light blue is also acceptable.

Never cared much for the "droopy assed" look of the Toronado or Riviera.

He should enter one of these at Pebble Beach. They are wonderful emblems of America at its zenith.
And, to me at least, more compelling than poofters in straw hats & blazers obsessing over every screw head on some over-restored multi-million dollar trailer queen.
