I think other racing series need to take note that with the right rules you can have a very competitive series without having to prescribe a standard engine style/displacement and actually let manufacturers innovate.

I would like to see a Formula Unlimited. 24-hour endurance race. No rules other than a requirement for wheeled mechanical transmission, and no more than four wheels.

Also it would be run on closed public roads. I'd run it on I-285, the 64-mile freeway circling Atlanta. It would be vey dangerous but there'd be huge cash prizes for the podium finishers.

That's would be so fun. You'd have lots of people watching from the sides.

good stuff.  Will Lambo and Alpine have their LMDhs there next year?  I hope BMW and Acura will play too.  Hope they'll dump the LMP2 class and get involvement from all the GT3s

Good race by Ferrari, congrats to them. Also happy to see Cadillac in 3rd and 4th, I think they had the best overall team result.

Corvette C8.R victory in GTE AM!

Looks like the NASCAR fell behind a bit in the last 6 hours, I thought they were ahead of the GTE AM cars when I went to bed.

Looks like it needed a brake change which took 11 minutes, and then a driveline fix a bit later on that took a while.

Good weekend for GM... Cady on the podium, Vette won its class, Camaro won the crowd

Now please explain to the automotive execs that people still want cars and racecars that sound like actual racecars

It was the gearbox that blew up (the motor was tuned +150 hp over standard NASCAR tune, plus those gearboxes are designed with ~500 mile life). Also, NASCAR has transitioned to IRS (i.e., Ford 9" is some 50 years too late ;)).

Super cool story. Shame about the gearbox (had it swapped in an hour). Experimental entry so they weren't limited as were the other cars, but it held its own.

Bozi gets a shoutout on tv.  Both Lexi won their class at the Glen weekend. Porsche won GTP.

Next up, Canada.  Then I'll be heading to Lime Rock
