Now I getting old and doing far fewer miles per year, I'm beginning to see leasing as a possibility. One reason is that tech advances are so rapid now, it'd be good way to keep more or less current.

Wow.  Nice deal on the Equinox.  I don't think people realize what kind of insane lease deals are out there for a lot of EVs if you're open to the model.

Did they end up cutting the RWD version?  I remember at one point, the Equinox was going to be offered in FWD, AWD, and RWD   It never made any sense to me.

Now that we've got someone with GM's new infotainment system...you seem to like it quite a bit.  I assume you have an iPhone, correct?  How do you handle text messages with this setup?  That's something that has never been clear to me, and a big reason why I like CarPlay so much.  I just yell at Siri to text whoever and it does a bang up job.

I think the other issue I have is syncing cross platform.  I listen to Audible, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.  Music is not a big deal, I'm sure one or both of them are built into the infotainment.  But is your location on your audiobook constantly syncing to the cloud, and that's how you're picking up where you left off on your phone?  Same with podcasts?

I don't use Audible, so I'm not sure about how it syncs. It's on there, I just don't use it. But for music it's definitely syncing, as I use Tidal (though our Spotify account is there, too. But my wife prefers that) or Apple Music (unfortunately that's connected using BT, so you dont' get the app, you just switch to BT music like you would for XM). It definitely maintains it's position between the Equinox, my phone separately, and the MINI with CarPlay, so I'm sure Audible would be the same.
