Your father should be using a hands-free device or speakerphone if he has to use the phone a lot while driving, regardless of transmission.

He does use a handsfree lol... but he needs to lean over and push the voice-activator button on the phone...tune the radio... did I mention he has arthritis in his arms? He was in pain driving my uncle's old WRX Wagon.

Yeah we're picky about room. Once we waited for 2 hours at an Avis because they didn't have anything larger than a Grand Am...which my dad felt too tight in. We had a 300M before the Intrepid, and as you can see from my garage (S600, Touareg, Grand Caravan, Intrepid, Camry) we're kinda spoiled with large cars.
