Google queen.

Definitely.

I actually knew that. I read it somewhere.

Actually, you said a prototype before the 901, so I narrowed it down to the Type 114 and the 695. I didn't even bother thinking of the 356/1. It obviously wasn't the 114, so 695 was my only other option.

Because Ferruccio was a big fan and patron of Spanish bullfighting.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Nope.

Edit:  Apparently, that's a viable answer.  It's not the answer I found, but I just came across a website stating that as the reason.  So you're up.

Okay.

Henry Ford himself at one time owned the world land speed record, pilotting a four cylinder vehicle of almost 800 CID almost to 100 MPH. He was later stripped of the record on what grounds?

I googled it, and while I didn't find a quote expressedly saying Henry Ford's record was stripped because _______, I think I figured it out.

Needless to say it's a tricky, tricky technicality.

Wasn't a two way run?

93JC

The first two-way run wasn't until 1914, well after Ford set his record.

Nope, but JC's probably got it. It has to do with the definition of Land speed...

If that's right, someone else take it. I'm not much of one for car trivia.

His car left the ground during the speed run.

Yep. He wasn't on land, he was on the frozen surface of Lake St. Clair.

So I saw a Corolla with CE on the back of it.

What does 'CE' mean?  Please don't Google search it.

It's a model. It goes (or at least used to go) VE, CE, LE, XLE.

LE used to be "Luxury Edition", but I think CE is a fairly recent trim name for Toyota. (Used to be called "DX.") Don't know that it's supposed to mean anything.

On a Corolla? It probably means caveat emptor

the Teuton

I'm rather surprised no one has gotten it yet.  The only reason I know is that the words "XXXXXXX Edition" were right under the CE on the car.

Hint time:  Cxaxxxx Edition.  The Xs represent the amount of letters in it.  The "a" represents the "a" that is in the word.

Iffy, take it away.

CE actually stands for Classic Edition.  Thanks, Toyota, for that tidbit.
