Wow, it must be good to finally take possession of the rogue vehicle! Best of luck with the new ride.

Personally, I would've waited for the refresh just so I could tell people I drive a Taurus.
I wanted the new engine and the new front end but then I would have had to have Taurus X on the liftgate and I just wasn't willing to do that.

VetteZ06

It's a big deterrent. I know. I really don't think I could bring myself to accept driving a "Taurus."

ifcar

I really hope you two are being sarcastic.

I've had two Taurus'.? I had a 2000 and a 2003.? Both were excellent cars despite being kinda ugly, and the interior room and trunk space were just jaw droppingly huge.? I didn't mind driving a Taurus either, but it's the "Taurus X" name that I don't like.

Choosing a car based on the name?

TheIntrepid

Ifcar would you drive something called a Tempo?

Well the man drives a Sedona, so he's clearly unstable. ;)

Did the Tempo just get dissed? Cussed? Cus-dissed?

TheIntrepid

Yes. The Spirit will too... after I pass your post count today or tomorrow. ;)

If I were the ignorant public, I probably wouldn't buy a Taurus based on name reputation alone. I've driven three generations of Taurus for at least a week at a time, and I despised them all. If I didn't know the new "Taurus" was a Fusion, I probably wouldn't have even looked at anything Ford released under the Taurus name. At least that's what I'd do if I didn't pay attention.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

Raghavan

The "Taurus" is a 500, not Fusion.

Thank you. That's what I meant and pictured in my head, but it's been a less than ideal day and what comes out isn't what I'm thinking.

Based on what? Room in the driver's seat for your big fat ass?

'Cause I'll give you the Intrepid having more room for that huge gluteus of yours than the Spirit and my lap.

I think you mean

A4>Tepid>Shitrit>j00

93JC

What? You can't even compare some German piece of junk like that to a fine Mexican-American piece of engineering like the Spirit. When that little shitstain of a car of yours falls apart in six months, like all German cars do, remind me to make fun of you.

Ro's just a stupid cheap Gujarati. He's too damn cheap to even buy an automatic... can you believe on his POS he has to SHIFT THE GEARS HIMSELF?!

:wtf:

He doesn't know that the A4 is an absolute piece of shit based solely on the fact that you can't even put a pizza box in the rear seat. I mean seriously... and 2 litres? Hell, my 1999 Camry had a 2.2... it could smoke your ass.

Plus, this idiot wastes his gas by having his engine drive FOUR WHEELS!!! FOUR!!!! What the hell!?

Wow.  That Freestyle is a pretty sweet car.  I took it out for a short drive last night after my wife got home with it and I gotta say it is very nice.  We got the Comfort Group which included: 6-Disc in-dash CD player and Premium sound system, power adjustable pedals, 6-way (might be 8, I have to check) power driver's seat, 4-way power passenger seat, steering wheel mounted audio controls, and 3-way digital climate controls.  We also got a sunroof, and wood grain dash.  I will have pictures tomorrow and a better write up about it because right now I have to get to work.  Here are a couple of Ford pictures of the exact colour of the outside and dash that we got:

The red looks a little darker in person.

...and Yes, I can sit comfortably in the third row and I'm 6'1", 220 lbs.  We didn't get leather.

It looks exactly the same.
