Corvette - Raza thinks they're ugly and his dad won't buy GM
Boxster - possible
Cayman - possible but a Boxster is more likely
not a BMW...

I really can't think of anything besides a Boxster.

He said it's a 6 speed, so it's definitely not a E or CLK anything, nor would it be a C55.

I think it's a Boxster, too, because it is very possible to negotiate 8 grand off the sticker of one of those. But it could also be a:

-Corvette--as said earlier, not likely
-manual Cayenne
-Elise/Exige/Exige S
-SLK350
-Z4
-5 Series
-Caddy CTS-V
-Audi S4, RS4, A6
-base 911 C2

That's all I can think of right now that falls within the price and 6 speed rules.

There's no way its an SUV, and does the cayenne even come with a stick-shift?
I doubt it's a Lotus since his dad isn't as hardcore of an enthusiast as he is.
I don't see why anyone would buy a Z4 or SLK over a Boxster
I doubt its a four-door if its a second car.

My money is one a 987 or 997. I think I remember him saying his dad enjoyed driving the Boxster awhile back. It fits the pricerange and makes more sense than anything else.

I am guessing Boxtser or Cayman, but its hard to imagine getting 8k off sticker for one of those. Porsche is known for having good resale I thought, which means not muich discounting when new.

If he got 8k off sticker its got to be a luxury marque. A Vette doesn't have thaat much markup.

It could be an SLK350. They do have 6-speeds, and a MB dealership might be willing to give them a break since they've bought a lot of Benzes.

It could also be a Z4. I have heard that BMW has been giving away huge incentives lately, but I also thought they were mainly for 2006 MY vehicles.
