No, you can get it in the 2.5 GT.

I thought all 2.5GTs this year are 2.5GT Limiteds, and only with an auto... and the Spec.B is the only way to get a stick with the turbo.

For yourself, or for anyone?

I can't see myself buying any of these. I think its hard to justify the Camry over the others for anyone.

Well, if the money tree at the beach house has a poor yield some year in the future, you might have to buy one of these.

Isn't the Spec.B limited run only?

It was, but it is now a full model.  The current spec.B is essential a 2.5GT Limited, but with a 6 speed manual transmission and standard GPS.

Of this lot, I don't think I'd buy any.  I'd buy a spec.B or a Mazda6s 5 door, but not a 2.5GT or 6 saloon.

It's very easy to justify over the Accord for someone who isn't concerned with handling. More safety features, lower price, more space, more comfortable ride, quieter.

Liberty 2.5GT, closely followed by Mazda6. I'd be interested to try a V6 6 - we only get the 4 cylinder and diesel versions.

cawimmer430

Subaru hands down. Best looking by far, AWD and simply gorgeous.

No, the Legacy as we know it is called Liberty in Australia.

As a result the vehicle we know as Liberty is sullying the name Cherokee...

There's really no right way of going about it: you hate America and you're a shallow automotive consumer.

(Just taking the piss )

It's Cherokee here too.  But we don't have a Subaru Liberty, so I guess it's for marketing reasons, right?

the Teuton

You don't want to give it too American sounding of a name when you sell it overseas.

You can take the troll out of the Subaru, but you can't take the Subaru out of the troll!

93JC

Yeah, it's Cherokee outside of North America mostly for marketing reasons. The XJ Cherokee (the small, boxy one) was pretty much the first and only Jeep to sell in reasonably good numbers overseas, so they felt it more prudent to name the successor (KJ) 'Cherokee' just to keep the name recognition.

93JC

Also prevented the awkward situation of having a Grand Cherokee and no Cherokee below it...

nickdrinkwater

I see.  I actually think Cherokee sounds pretty American too, though obviously not as much so as Liberty.

Is the Grand Cherokee still Grand Cherokee in America?  Grand Liberty would sound shit.

No, the most American you can get is a 5'8/260lbs white guy with a mullet driving a Dodge Ram or a '98 Camaro.

Chinook Centre. Not 'the' Chinook Centre, mind you, just Chinook Centre. Like 'SkyDome' vs. 'the SkyDome'.
