I did. I don't anymore. I don't want to talk about.

It's alright, curb feelers work better on Caddies than Hondas anyways

SLoB, what happened to your S2000?????

Soup DeVille

I sold it.

I sold it in order to come up with the downpayment on my new house, and because the wife was pregnant with my second son (due in late April). I sold it to an aquaintance who promised me he'd take good care of it and then spun it out and totalled it within two weeks of ownership, and blames me for selling him an unsafe car.

I think about it everyday.

You should've sold the wife.
Or lived in a trailer.
But you do NOT sell an S2000!!!!!

Now I feel bad for you too. :(
Couldn't you have sold the Pilot instead?

Think about it this way: there are literally hundreds of millions of possible wifes out there, but only a few thousand S2000's.

The Pilot was bought when son number 1 was on his way. The wife was convinced she needed an SUV.

The funny things is, I cart him around more in the Civic than she does in the Pilot.

Honestly, when I had the Civic, the Pilot, and the S2000 it was financially more of a burden than it shuld have been, and since we were living in a small 2-bedroom house, we did need to move, and the S2000 was the logical sacrificial lamb.

Don't feel bad for me though. I've always wanted to take on a serious project car, and i've always had a soft spot for Caddies, so that helps to dull the pain quite a bit. Colin (my son) is an absolute joy and a source of great happiness. The new house has an attached 3 1/2 car garage and I only have one neighbor within earshot: who happens to be a VW freak. So, things all in all are pretty good.

But I still miss my S2000...

Bah, the wife and kids can go in the trunk. Still no excuse to sell a prized possesion like an S2000. :nono:

So maybe it doesn't accelarate too fast, but it'll cruise at 90mph all day with the A/C on and a pile o' whatever in the cargo hold, and still get mpg in the mid 30's.

It will get over 30MPG at 90mph with a/c ON?     Are you sure?  How many revs are you doing at 90 in that car?!

I have no tach, I have no idea of the revs. Maybe someday I will find out. I should do a study of the mpg's at highter speeds, I have no concrete evidence at this point.

Apparently the aquaintance is a complete idiot or doesn't know how to drive at all

Stick cars with no tachs FTW!  Get an aftermarket one sometime or another, like an Autometer or a cheap Wal-Mart one.

1996 BMW 325i Convertible - Brilliant Black [2.5L I6 - 189hp]

SOLD! for $1150. I threw my bike in the back of the truck and drove it up to Rockland to the guy's house, dropped the truck off, took the cash, and had a beautiful ride back.
I'm glad that's all over and done with now.
I'll miss the damn thing though. I don't think I ever put as much work into something as I did on that truck?

$850 on Ebay. But then I put over $1500 of parts on it. But then the Air Force paid me $3000 to move myself, so the truck more than paid for itself.
