I like the coupe better, but to me the differences between E90 and E92 are not important. The decision is simple:

if (I get kids by the time I buy this) car = Dreamcars.E90M3; else car = Dreamcars.E92M3;

The E90 should be lighter than the E92 (based on the fact that an E90 328i is slightly lighter than its E92 variant)
Yea, it should only be a couple pounds difference if we go by the 328i comparison.
Difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week.

I would rather have the coupe, but the sedan is probably the better car overall. Is the sedan confirmed?

That's odd.  The 335i coupe is slightly lighter than the sedan.  (3571 vs. 3616)

:rage:

THE SEDAN IS BETTER.

IMHO it is INCREDIBLE that BMW was able to bring in the V8 M3 100 pounds below the 335i coupe.

I'd have gotten the coupe also :ohyeah:. If I remember well, the coupe has as standard the sedan's sport suspension, and the coupe?s sport suspension is sportier than what you can get on the sedan.

E92 > E90 for me, mainly because I've always liked coupes more than sedans and I like the way BMW did the front more on the E92.

I can't stand the profile of the E92 for the same reason I don't like the profile of the A5, it just doesn't look German to me.

Well think about it... between the two turbos and the steel roof, that's a good couple dozen pounds right there.

BMW is pretty crafty too...I can already see what they'll do with the next CSL. Magnesium crankcase, CF hood & trunk, magnesium wheels, racing seats.... there's easily another 150# to be lost without making the car unstreetable. Goodbye GT3?

The GT3 weights under 3100 lbs and has 415 hp, BMW would have to do a whole lot of very expensive weight cutting to make the CSL as fast at which point it would probably both cost more and be less practical than the GT3

They would definately have to do some weight trimming, that is for sure.  But, the CSL could possibly also have more power than the new M3, so......we will see I guess.

Definitely possible, the E46 M3 CSL ran with a 996 GT3. The CSL will have more power, I expect at least 440hp.
