I wouldn't say 'quick'.  But it aint slow!  It's more than adequate and quicker than what many people have, for sure.

By the way, thanks for the writeup.  And  :ohyeah: for the photography.  Very nice shots.

Thanks thanks.  :ohyeah:

8.4 seconds is more than adequate for most people and the C220 CDI also feels faster thanks to the torque. People buy this car because of the great fuel economy too.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

Seat Ibizas are bad ass, I'd definitely drive one if they were available here.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

They're still attractive cars. :ohyeah:

It's the old shape model though , 1996  :frown:  I love my car though.  I think everyone loves their first car.  It's 11 years old, has done 24,000 miles and has been serviced every year.  And was given to me free!  It's no Intrepid, but its good enough for me!  I'll get a picture up if you're interested?

  It's no Ferrari, admittedly.  At least it's a manual

Only 24,000 miles after 11 years? That thing must be in wonderful condition!

I'm with Omi, 24,000 miles in 11 years is crazy.  My car is 7 years old, and has 117,000 miles.

I'd like to see a pic.

I'll take a pic next time I get chance then!  It's actually garaged at the moment until Summer.  Of course, not because it's classic   I'm living in student halls at the moment, so I can't use the car at the moment because there is no parking here.

How do you check the oil level, change the spark plugs, change the air filter, etc.?  That'd be a big turn off to me, I'm willing to have a subjectively inferior engine layout in order to be able to monitor such factors myself.

Loads of stuff is available in the boots, so you can check things like that.

I think the dipstick is in the back.

This is the only mid engined car I know of that you can't see the engine, but most mid engined cars have you going under the car to do that stuff.  Except for the Murcielago.  In that one, you open the engine cover, and hoist out the engine to do just about anything.
