Forgot to mention, I actually like the 4th gen. The only one available with a V6 and a 5MT. It even looks decent imho.

By Tepid's logic in addition to owning a 1995 Prelude, 2004 Outback, and 2000 F-250 I also own an Accord, three Camries (I am not proud), Tacoma, Corolla, Tahoe, Thunderbird, and Monte Carlo SS seeing as how close relatives drive those cars. Of course, Tepid only informs us of the cool ones (not seeing any in my list, the Tacoma is RWD ).

BTW, I had NO idea that the 4th gen Camry was available with 5MT and a V6?! When we bought the '99 new, in Canada at least, only the bare-bones CE was available with 5MT. Even if you stepped up to the LE, which gave you ABS, it automatically gave you automatic. The XLE was only available in the V6 and auto.

I'm guessing the US version of the CE V6 was available with 5MT?

Yes, but almost all 5MT CE V6s are fully loaded with leather, sunroof etc. They are pretty rare. Keep in mind the first gen Solara had the exact same powertrain.

It might just be that most of them have leather as a dealer installed option, I don't know if it was available from the factory or not.
