What does that have to do with anything? You told someone you'd check to see if the car turns off if you walk away from it with the fob. I pointed out how that could prove difficult, because the engine would have already shut itself off before you get out of the car.

No no. I'd do it like this:

I drive it up the street, turn around, come back by my house, open the door, put the fob on the curb, and try to drive away.


I forgot to update this:

I asked my friend to try this on his 2007 Altima 2.5SL, and you COULD drive it away, but once you put it into park, it wouldn't go out of park again. It bings and says "KEY NOT DETECTED" or something.
