Do you realize you guys have the same engine? Except you have a turbo and he doesn't!

You would have easily won the 0-60, 1/4 mile and N?rburgring performance challenge against him!

I would also have a heavier car.  Either way it would be the funniest race ever.

cawimmer430

I saw today:

The new BMW M5 still in camouflage heading straight at me on the opposing lane. It was white and had some camouflage tape over it. Weird, the car has already been released. The car looks much better in person than in the press photos.

I also saw a classic white or beige (weird color) Renault R4 on a parking lot with French plates and a gorgeous white Citroen CX Fastback which overtook me on the Autobahn at high speed (I was doing 160 km/h+). That's right. Fuck you, Consumer Reports x 2!

No time for pictures sadly.

I find it odd that I saw more lifted redneck trucks in Panama City/Destin than I see in Kentucky. And I've never seen a limo pickup truck anywhere else.

They just haven't thought of it yet.

Also in Panama City:

Saw this while on a Sunday afternoon bike ride:

Someone drove a dark red Mercedes SLS down my street.

I hope it was a neighbor, and I hope they'll give me a ridealong when I catch them getting the mail ;)

On my way home I saw some bright HID headlights on a very low slung car. It jumped out of a driveway and the rear end was bouncing left and right from lack of traction. I rolled down my window to hear it pass by, whatever it was.

Five seconds later the shape resolved into a F430 and the sound was GLORIOUSLY loud. The V8 was in full song on a 35mph road. He must have gone up to 70 or 80.

Also, did not spot the SLSagain this evening. I think it was a fluke. :P

Rock on. I saw a first gen RAV4 2-door convertible. When was the last time you saw one of those bad boys...and I saw a CTS-V which was in the lot next to ours at work. So I can legally talk about it.

Because much cooler cars often sit in our parking lot. Much cooler. And I signed a non-disclosure agreement. And I sat across from Jonny Lieberman today at the staff meeting. That's like sitting across from Steve Jobs in a coffee shop for a computer nerd such as yourself.

I saw one of these in downtown Edmonds on Sunday:

1962 Plymouth Sport Fury, similar color, supar nice condition (as nice as that front end can look at least)

Interior had a lot of cool ribbed aluminum business going on along with some goofy space-age remnants.

Dude, he writes articles for magazines.

He, quite honestly, is only slightly better then the normal retard writers at car magazines.

I do hope you aim "slightly" higher.   :ohyeah:

Yea not to be a dick but don't be so easily starstruck man. You're in LA, there will be a lot of important people and "exotic" car sightings in your future. They all shit and go to junkyards (respectively) like anyone or anything else

Whether or not you like Motor Trend, I am surrounded by some of the best journalists in the industry. Not to look up to them and study how they got to where they are would be foolish.

I've seen some of those around my school. They look terrible.

Technically I think they are ZENN NEV's, which are pretty much the same as Microcar MC1's anyways.

It's a type of class in most of Europe that is license-exempt. Basically, a four-wheeled trike with a car body.

The ZENN NEV's are NEV's and are electric. The MC1's are either gas or electric.

I like that Mazda pickup... except for the weird slant.

There's one near my house lowered on the exact same Escalade wheels, but in worse shape.
