They were thinking that there's a market for an overpriced extended first-generation A-Class platform vehicle. The car mainly flopped because it was overpriced. Versatility and even driving characteristics were top notch. I worked at a dealer back then and drove one and was quite surprised at how well they handled for what they were.

These days the Mercedes-Benz Citan caters to the same people who in the day bought a Vaneo.

A white Lamborghini Urus. I followed it for a few blocks thinking "what the heck's up with those taillights"? I got up close enough to discover that the bland and only slightly angular SUV was a Lambo.

I pointed it out to my husband, who didn't know the Urus existed, and he had a good laugh about the brand dilution.

It looks like every other SUV on the road.

Except I know the people in the back would probably hate it.     So it's a dumb idea.

Then I think about doing light off-roading with no roof, but Jeep would be far superior there, so still dumb idea.

G37 convertible has rear seats usable by adults. It's not just a 2+2. They're good cars and they depreciate like a mofo...

Nine hours on the interstate yesterday:
-I-20 east to I-95 north to Kenly, NC then back down and west.
-It's almost exactly half on I-20 and half on I-95.
-On I-20 go through Columbia, SC then really no other big traffic choke points.
-I-95 go through a few medium cities (Lumberton NC, near but not in Fayetteville).
-Traffic volume is drastically different between the two- I-20 except for Columbia area is much less dense, by half.


They love Mustangs down here! saw tons of them, including a violet one and funky turquoise one (both obviously non-OEM colors and BRIGHT). Saw an NA stock with top down, ND RF top up, NB that was slammed with the ridiculous wheels and rims (top up). Murano convertible.

There were BIG RV's headed south and a few littler RVs also headed mostly south, I think all of them were on I-95, don't remember any on I-20.

They look amazing in red, but white wasn't that bad. I find them rather "dull looking" in silver.
