The Avalanche is one of the dumbest and most useless trucks ever conceived.  I rank it up there with the Hummer H2.

Oh phooey and pshaw.  It's an awesome truck.  It's capable of any full-size truck job and it's a very comfortable family hauler and it can tow or haul anything you want.  It looks freakin badass.  I think it's the best truck ever.

And you know how I feel about the H2.

That's a funny post.

The box is half the size it should be because of the storage bins and the midgate has to folded down for anything more then a bike.  THe computer desk I hauled home fully assembled in the back of my Ram had to be taken apart and the midgate folded down so my buddy could take it to his place in his Avalanche after I sold it to him.  Sure it can tow, but what good is the box?  The Avalanche is lame and is purely an ego truck like the Hummer H2 and H3.

GoCougs

The Avalanche has a few material advantages; it has a measure of additional refinement owing to its Tahoe roots (sound deadening, more upscale interior, etc.), and it will ride better with the rear coil suspension and stiffer body structure (box isn't separate).

Also of note, Avalanche sales are up almost 100% YTD versus last year.

The upscale interior is not exclusive to the Avalanche, though.

If you really want that, then you're soberingly sane.

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon tuned by Brabus because 507 hp isn't enough and have that limiter removed . I want to get the groceries and stuff from the hardware store home REAL fast. Just need some snow tires.

I'd really like a diesel truck as I'd want to be able to pull some things in the future and venture off the beaten path but the lure of that massive Teutonic power is irresistible.

Just look at this beautiful beast.

If I wasn't thinking so practical, this would be numero uno but I don't think they make snow tires big enough for it: Plus super wide tires don't work that great in snow.

Both would be completely blacked out. Black paint, wheels and limo tint windows. You know because the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 doesn't look menacing enough.

I don't really know the mpg on it, but I am big hatch fan.

but prolly since I have to pay gas....
this'll do

Raza

Shame the US MkV R32 will be DSG only.  Otherwise I'd bite the bullet on price and MPG and go for it.

MexicoCityM3

I think the M3 is an excellent choice as an answer to the OP's original question. I'd just keep the M3 or get an E92.

In 5 years (kids) I'd pick an M3 sedan, M5 or an M5 touring (not available in Mexico).

I wonder if the Iroc will have same components...or even the 3.6... Then I might go with that.

If i could only have one car for five years and no price limit, It would be the Audi RS4.
Its a beautiful car, that also happens to be insanely fast for a sedan. Its made by Audi, so you know its good. And unlike something like a Veyron, you wouldn't be paranoid about someone breathing on it.
