My neighbor just got a new quad-cab Ram 1500 Laramie and got a good deal on the diesel (VM Motori 3.0L V6 - urea injection). It's like a luxury car inside - all the goodies - and the torque numbers... 480 lb-ft. He can tow all boats & trailers he needs. Love it - Tonka toys for the boys.
The Ram had the best interior of any Full Size truck!
The newest, higher-level FCA interiors are pretty nice.
But dammit, I had to work on a late model Grand Cherokee yesterday, and the HVAC control panel went kaput. All the wiring checked out. Turns out it needs a software update.
They have given their Ecodiesel truck a nice bump in power and towing capacity.

$$ though. Hagerty magazine had a little article about the diesel in the Wrangler and said save your money and get the gas V6. (they also liked that the V6 was available with a manual)

Yeah, the price bump for the diesel is pretty high even compared to the Hemi in the pickup trucks. Especially considering the lower HP number on the diesel.
A friend of my brother has, or had, one. Went up in flames while he was driving with his family on board. Dodge denied a warranty claim. Apparently numerous others have experienced fires. Warranty claims also denied.

You're buying a Dodge with an Italian motor. Thats as likely to go over well as a Coronavirus-denier party in Milan.
