Did Ford fix the Explorer/Aviator?

I remember reading about the production nightmares with these at the Chicago plant; it was a horrible debut. But bad news always makes the press.


I've seen quite a few Aviators around here and they look quite tasty - compelling on paper too.

I think they've fixed the initial quality problems.  The Ford Explorer is selling very well currently (I think the best selling 3 row SUV).  The Lincoln Aviator not so well.  That's expected though because Lincoln always overprices their new offerings.
