Title: I Visited a Car Graveyard
Post by: Morris Minor on October 24, 2020, 12:20:26 PM
Acres and acres of cars slowly being consumed by the forest. Photographers come from far and wide.
Some of mine here: https://craneusa.org/old-car-world (https://craneusa.org/old-car-world)
Example ('51 Studebaker Land Cruiser)

That pre mid-fifties steel seems to hold up so much better than anything after.  That old Studebaker is a treasure.

Amazing pics. I wish we had such places here... we don't.

Sad to see that mid-/late-1950s Cadillac rusting to bits. And woah, a Ford Capri!? In the USA!?

You could script a horror movie around that new garden hose...

Yup - first car I photographed. Reading this, it's a 1971. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Capri#Outside_Europe

It's a great photo location. I was thinking it would be a good set for a state-of-the-art EV - the old & the new.

Ah, it was sold as a Mercury in the US. Learned something new! ;)
