Nah, that's when you trade the repli-racer for a sport touring bike.

This episode reminds me of a guy I used to work with a few years back.  He had a tricked out Hayabusa (stretch swinger, custom paint) that he put some pretty serious miles on.  He told me he routinely rode down to Philly (which is over 250 miles away) to visit family.  I think he was probably in his mid 40s at the time.  Then he said he was planning to sell it to buy a Harley.  He was finding the bike too uncomfortable as he got older.  Then he mentioned that he'd replaced the rear shock and spring with a solid link :wtf:, making it basically a hardtail.  I didn't say it, but in my head I was like "Your bike would probably be a lot more comfortable if you hadn't removed the rear suspension".
OUCH! LOL!!!!

Buddy of mine has a dope Super Bronc. He's been riding and building these since he was a kid. He's got three parts bikes at the moment. This one runs on a 300-some-cc flathead Tecumseh 4-stroke snowblower motor. CVT style transmission (like a snowmobile).  Thing tops out at like 45. Goes anywhere. We put about 40 fun-ass miles on yesterday.  Great pace for the 230L...just trail cruisin, no rush.

Nice. That's the kind of dert bike for me.

First ride of the season.  Got out of work early (figuratively, I'm working from home) and went for a little 85 miler.  I hooked the bike up to my charger figuring the battery would be down on charge (it's 6 years old and I don't disconnect it during the winter).  Charger indicated it was charged, so I hit the starter and it fired right up.  Perfect riding weather.  Sunny, no wind, not too hot...

Yep that's the spot. That section of road is horrible but they are repaving further up the canyon and it's A+ asphalt

I woke up this morning with the need for a motorcycle. I can't afford this need right now.

Find some 250cc dirtbike for $400 that runs or at least has good internals and compression.

I bet you could take him down to $400.

Yeah, but I need that $400 to build a shed.

How do you make the slowest Harley (883 Sportster) as fast as the quickest factory Harley (Screaming Eagle V-rod)?  Drop a 30 year old derpbike motor from an old CR500 into the frame, of course.  More power than a 1200 sporty and the motor weighs like 130 lbs less.

I can feel the bearded overweight leather-clad screaming from here.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I took the Explorer motocamping this weekend, my brother & I found a spot on a hill with a view of the Great Salt Lake. I turned the traction control to "fun mode" and had a good time getting the tail out on some corners. I've been riding more dirt roads this year to improve my off-road riding skills, and I already feel way more comfortable.

I haven't seen one. I don't even have a Husqvarna dealer around here! (except lawn mowers)

Maybe it's the corona talking, but I actually want a 50cc scoot to putt around on. I live in the city. I should act like it.

Is that a thing? Probably. But it must be $4-5K.
I'm talking about an $800 Chinese scoot.

I have an older, but high quality recumbent bike that I have been playing with the idea of adding hub motor to...
