I ran down to Virginia last weekend and picked up a 2014 Corvette!

Dammmmmn. Gorgeous. How's it to drive?
Way better than the C6!
I rode in a white C7 vert on the autocross and it was amazing. Someday...
Lucky guy. Have fun :ohyeah:.
LEAD FUT, eh.

LOL! Yes I'm known to run a lil bit higher than the recommended speed limit at times! ;)

I gotta get it out on some twisties!
Very nice, congrats!
I have to say, I think C7 might be peak Corvette. I know the C8 will be a better technical performer on tracks, but the classic proportions of the front engine/RWD Corvette make it seem more beautiful...and the performance is so damn high it seems hard to imagine normal people being able to utilize the difference.

Me and my friends had a looking discussion about this! Especially the styling! We all agreed that the C8 is a nice looking car but the C7 LOOKS like a Corvette!

Nice upgrade! Did you get a good deal on it?
Woah, very cool! I like the white and red combo a lot. Congrats!

Yes I did!! I'd been watching this car for about a month and ago half! When they first listed it they was asking 42K! After about a month the price had dropped to 38K. That's not a bad price for a 2LT Vert with only 33K on it. I figured they'd be ready to deal during this Covid-19 situation so Last Thursday I jumped and sent them an Email. I asked if they would take 35K for it! They agreed AND asked me what I wanted for my GS! They agreed to the first price I asked for on the GS and asked when could I come pick the C7 up. I told them I was driving in from Cleveland (they're located outside of Virginia Beach) and I'd be there by noon the next day! I left Cleveland at 5am and got there at 12.45pm! By 3:30 I was headed home!
The funny part is a guy came to buy the car about 45 mins after I showed up! He had a C6 Vert that was White with tan interior! The finance manager told me he'd been in twice to see the car but dragged his feet!

That's a good deal. I've been watching C7 prices too. Seems like 2LTs and 3LTs even aren't substantially more than 1LT. Z51 package adds a bit of cost though. Yours is an auto right?
What'd you get for your C6 if you don't mind me asking?

Hahaha, awesome! I love a great deal. Also cool that you got to take it for a long drive straight away. It's great learning to know a new car with a long trip.

True! I was watching a 2LT Z51 Vert with 55K and it was listed at $35,500! Yes it's an auto. They gave me $16,500 for the GS. 2010 3LT model with 95K.

Exactly! It was a 7 hour ride so I got real familiar with the new (to me) Vette!
Congrats!
Nice car. Like my Miata but with horsepower! :ohyeah:
Congrats! I've loved those since they came out. Great performance value too!!

I really like the interior of the C7. It's got that ridiculous hidden spot behind the screen too, right?

Probably. I've detailed a couple newer Caddies with that feature. Certainly a GM thing. hah

Lead futures, huh? Nice!
The C7 is a great car. I really enjoyed my time with one, I'd totally buy one myself. Even in automatic, it was a fun ride (though I'd never buy an auto myself).
Have lots of fun with it!

It would make a great cruising car, even auto. Go for a drive without hassle. Also wouldn't be bad commuting with the stop and go traffic around here.

Thanks! I've had that plate since the G8! LOL!!! I love my manuals but I doubt I'll ever buy a NEWER car with one again.

WORD! 90% of the time I'm cruising anyway!
6 Month Update: No Issues! The car has been bullet proof so far! 35% tint and LED Marker Lights are the only mods I've done so far. The car will be going into hibernation in a couple weeks....
You gotta sell this thing, man. Get a C8 already! I'll take this lousy C7 off your hands. $5k seems fair ;)

LOL!!!
After two years of trouble free driving the C7 has developed an issue. For that past few months I've heard a subtle knock when I turned the car off. At first I thought It was the Exhaust moving around a bit. It wasn't. Last week I ran to my cabin and I noticed that whenever I got on the gas I could feel a jerk. Not anything big but it felt like a U Joint going bad. I dropped the car off to the Stealership yesterday and they found out what the problem is today. The whole Torque Tube needs to be replaced. This is a known issue with C7s and I'd read up on the issue recently. The Tech told me the job (parts and 17 Hours of labor) would be $5900. I gave him the number to my extended warranty company and told him to let them know. They agreed to fix the car but not until their Adjuster took a look tomorrow or Saturday. This is the one time buying an extended warranty paid off for me!
Time for an upgraded torque tube and supercharger
Torque tubes have always been problematic. You'd think they would have figured it out by now.
How much of the assembly needs to be replaced?

They replace the whole assembly! I've heard some shops will rebuild them tho!
