Anyone know any more details around this??? C class wagon in US now?
It's amazing the way the germans copy each other on basically everything.
Just yesterday I stopped by a Merc dealership that is next to our office to look around. I wanted to take a look again at the new C class. I drove a new C180 six months ago and was very underwhelmed so I wanted to see if the higher trim models were significantly better, especially in the interior. Short answer: no.
I just don't get all the accolades about the new C as a "mini S". The interior I find nothing special and not better than a 3er or an A4.
The E class, on the other hand, I love. I like my new "older man" tastes.
Hope they dont mess it up next go round. Next one is due soon, prototypes already rollin.
I know details, but I can't say anything about them. The perks of having one of my best friends work for Automobile Mag, right?

Dude, it's Carspin......nobody important comes here.
So spill some details.
So it's just a sport pack for the C450. Why is this a secret?
There's a C450 now? Is it big displacement or some made up number because it's got a turbo?

Turbo 3.0L
Well then it must have 450hp?
I liked it back when the engine size was in the model number.

Likely not, as that would put it too close to the C63 AMG. I'm guessing around 400 HP, which would split the difference between the C400 and full fledged AMG version.
What a mess
They should just send them out without badges, let you choose your horsepower and assign your number accordingly

No. He drives an '05 GTO. Conner Golden. He's doing the Automobile Mag article on the C450.
C450 has about 330-340hp. It competes against the 335i

The C400 has 329 hp. What's the point of a 330-340 hp C450?
335i is becoming 340i in about 6 months and gaining 40hpish.
They should name it the C1,400,000
Millions are always better than hundreds
I don't like the sound of 340i or C4__

Ok been getting them mixed up. Maybe the 450 will be a bit more than bumpers and badges.

2016 Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport is not too hot, not too cold

Mercedes-Benz is moving to a new system for performance models, launching its AMG Sport line that will slot above the standard cars, but below the full-fledged Mercedes-AMG offerings. The perfect example of how this all looks can be seen with the C-Class – we've already driven (and enjoyed) the standard C300 and C400 offerings, and we're absolutely geeked to test the Mercedes-AMG C63. Slotting in the middle, though, is this new C450 AMG Sport, which makes its debut at the Detroit Auto Show this week.
Power comes from the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 found in the C400, but output is increased to 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque – up from 329 and 354, respectively. That's all shuffled through the company's 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission, and sent to the road via 4Matic all-wheel drive. Hitting 60 miles per hour is said to take just 4.9 seconds, en route to a 155-mph top end.
There's an AMG adaptive sport suspension with adjustable dampers (from the C63), and the interior and exterior aesthetics have been pumped up for a more sporting appearance. It all seems like a good fit, and we think it'll slot nicely in the middle of the already good C-Class range.
