Regarding the new tires, got a set of 255(square) RS3's and it turns out a rim had a crack in it. Inside barrel, about 1/2 inch long. It was a perfectly straight line.

Brought it to a friend of my dads who is a welding instructor. Upon examination it looks like there could have been a flaw in the casting that caused it. He cleaned it up and welded it. Just going to clean up the bead area and run it for the summer. Going to disassemble and redo the rims in the fall. So I'll leave it raw so I can check on it.

Going to pressure wash them all down now and throw them on the car so I can drive it a bit. Hopefully some of the driving issues are resolved. The old tires where spooky, hard as a rock.

Also just ordered my Nistune stuff for the GTR and Z, along with cable and software. Going to try and get that migrated over in the next few weeks. Have to pull the ECU and solder in a board for real time tuning yo.

Need more RS3s, and build a tire rack.

I can deduce what he is asking, but either way, figured it was obvious.

I might try to pick up some steel today if I get into town. I'd like to get a rack made up. Once I get the kit car I'm really going to be burried in tires. The 16" enkei pulloffs the donor, and given how cheal they are, I'll have atleast 2 sets of 6uls one with summers and the other with slicks.

I need a way to store atleast 4 sets, preferably up on the wall for space reasons.

I have an adjustable wall rack for my winters. Works great and bought it on sale for $40. Rated for 300 lbs.

Where did you get it from?

40 isnt too bad, I'm sure it will only do one set, but at 40 ish I wouldn't mind buying a few.

Canadian Tire. Regular price is $59.95. I'm sure you could find it online though.

Here you go. The box is fairly compact, so shipping shouldn't be too bad.

Cool, thanks. I guess i always thought of the ones at tire rack, iirc they were like 100 bucks. For that price from amazon it isn't even worth building.

Pretty surprised at the high ratings too, most people would hang it wrong or something stupid and rate it 1 star.

The beauty of this rack is it folds up flat when not in use.

Oh yeah, on orders over $49. Win-win.

I think Canada's rules might be different. Pretty much everything on Amazon has free shipping in the US, in some cities it's even same-day.

This is my rack. I trust it enough to park my Ferraris under it.

Looks like it's bowing a bit.

Yeah it's noticeable in the pic, but never noticed it in the garage. I had 2 other tires/rims on it for 6 total, and never felt it might fail.

I still have my 96 300zx turbo.

How long until that car has classic status in the US? 25-30 years?
