Series or parallel?

Oh, series. Single exhaust. Quick and dirty.

Jeep is about to get the rest of its stereo.,I finally collected all the hardware and stuff to put my amp and 6x9s in the trunk. Also got 6-1/2" JBL front door speakers to replace the cheap DUAL 5x7s that I threw in there just to have something.

This is only because I have literally nothing mechanical that needs fixing (aside from normal Jeep things such as engine oil seepage and a minor exhaust manifold leak when cold). Everything is working perfectly. Every fluid, rubber hose, and filter has been replaced. Nothing left but stereo.

Hood spacers. 4.0s get hot and the radiators are undersized.

Nice. Wonder if it'll act as an external windshield defroster when you're driving through some sleet or something.

It should keep ice off the wipers, too.

I also welded the cracks in the exhaust manifold, so I won't suck in all the fumes through the cowl.

Nah.

And it only took about 15 minutes before my boss came up and asked what's wrong with my hood.

Does it have electric fans?

I did a full electric fan conversion. They do not flow enough. As soon as it's moving 20 MPH, the temp drops back to 200.

Bigger radiator?

Bigger radiator?

I was going to order a big copper one, but then my radiator broke and I had to get a stock one at my local parts store. So, it's stock. But, I do have an entirely separate transmission cooler.

Oh yeah, drove Jeep 6 hours to Maine. Avg 20.2 MPG.
Not bad.
It really, really needs new weatherstripping around the doors. So much wind noise.

Pretty spot on for 223K miles.

Of course, Jeep has larger than OE tires, but also an electric fan conversion.
Also, I was doing 70MPH with a full load of furniture.

Better than the El Camino. (actually idk with the new 5 speed, haven't taken it on a highway-only trip)

Put some 2.41:1 gear in the rear ended and stick a lawnmower carburetor on it. 70 MpG

You might need a downhill run to get it rolling.

Is that too hot?

That is about the normal operating temperature for my Golf.

I always thought that was a particular arrogance of the British car makers: shipped them over here thinking something rated for the domestic no-extremes climate would work fine too in desert heat, tropical humidity & arctic cold. Clueless management.
Oh and the electrics...

Well, the XJ was partially designed by Renault, and intended for smaller engines than the 4.0.
