Title: C&D 10 best

Seems like the GR Corolla and Supra both fell off this year.

I recently test drove a GR Corolla I ordered about a year ago, and decided not to buy it.  Will post more about why later.

I honestly have no idea who puts any stock in these ridiculous lists.

The Porsche is the only slam-dunk winner to be found here and is certainly worthy of inclusion.  The Civic, in hatch form at least, is a solid choice but so is the Corolla, Mazda 3 and Volkswagen GTI.  The Toyota GR86 is an interesting if somewhat leftfield option but is it compelling enough in a world where the Mazda MX-5 exists?

And the rest?  Well, for starters, can anyone tell me why the hell does Acura still exist?  Integra is just a Civic for those with more money then sense.  Same can be said for Cadillac.  The Escalade is the only thing keeping the lights on at Cadillac dealerships.  None of their other models sell worth a damn.

The C8 Corvette looks interesting but has a lot of previous baggage and stigma attached to it.  You'll need to have some pretty think skin to drive one.  The chest-wig and spray-on tan, however, are now strictly optional!

Accords are too common and mundane to be on anyone's Top 10 list.  Besides, the Civic has grown so big it makes the Accord totally redundant.  EVs are little more than vanity purchases for virtue signaling fashion victims, so the Lucid is out for me.  The new Prius, however, has the looks that could finally make the formerly nerdtastic hybrid cool at last!  Big improvement over the last one that looked as if it was designed by Stevie Wonder.

GM and Honda running the tables, yo.

Always a good feature - WAY better than M/T's artificially-restricted-by-add-revnue "XXX of the Year" caliper award.

TBF, not much of a fan of any of the vehicles. The CT4-V BW coulda really have been something with the LT1/LT2 rather than a TTV6. Anyway, forced to choose from this list, I'd go CT5-V BW with M/T.

What are you talking about? :wtf:

Cadillac sales are up pretty significantly overall.  And it's not all thanks to the Escalade.

It's a solid list but having the Integra and Civic on the list is a bit silly, IMO. Same with both Blackwings.

I think I'd also pick the Z06 over the E-Ray.

The list is generally alright.  Civic and Integra is a bit messy, would rather see the Supra return in lieu of one.

Splitting the long and short wheelbase Escalades in order to claim the XT5 is the "Best Selling" Cadillac is disingenuous at best and a flat-out lie at worst.

Sure, the crossovers are doing *okay* (should really be doing a lot better, to be fair) because, well, they're crossovers.  But the sedans are dead in the water, just like everyone else's.

BTW, I went to the Chicago Auto Show back in February and the only thing Cadillac brought to the show was the Lyriq.  I felt sorry for the Cadillac rep because everyone who came up to the Cadillac stand was asking to see the Escalade.  One old guy wanted to see some sedans.  NOBODY gave a rat's ass about the Lyriq!  People were walking away disappointed left and right!

Here is the list for SUVs and trucks.

4 of 10 are Hyundai/Kia/Genesis products.

My wife loved the GV70 when she drove it, but the differential issues and the dealership experience drove us away.
