Volkswagen guys are always on the cutting edge of hipster.

Also, terrible Photoshop.

I'm particularly fond of the shipping crate on the roof.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Piece of real burl that big would cost more than the car.

Glue a bunch of smaller pieces together.

Apparently SCCA banned the regular Fiesta from H stock because they think its too tippy.

I had a few pucker moments with the Focus getting up on some curbing. With a torsion beam rear axle and shorter wheelbase I would have to imagine it's even worse than my old car.

I thought my old Fiesta was a hell of a lot of fun; but yeah, it can be tippy.

Can't you just bump yourself into a higher class and be allowed to run? Silly rules.

I guess we're kinda serious looking. Need to settle on a budget, could do cash up to $5k, 2yr loan at ~$100/month is more than easy and would give us another $5k in purchase power.

Minivan vs. SUV. SUV could tow more but sacrifices a lot of comfort....

Rupert

What are you towing?

Subaru? :-) come moving time in December?

But hopefully camp trailer in a couple years. We're more thinking minivan, 2004-2008.

At least the CX-9 is one of the best of the crossovers for comfort. What you give up more of is usable space behind the third row (plus cargo space in general).

Steering wheel's on the wrong side; serious safety issue letting the passenger drive like that.

It's 14yrs old. And?
Vehicles start getting needy at that mileage.  There's always a reason a used car is on the lot. You have to try to figure out that reason if you can.

This one is because he was ready for something newer. First owner. I think I could talk him down to $5k, but I have to decide whether I want to buy it.
Concerns
-gas mileage
-3rd row space
-no hitch (for bike rack but eventually towing stuff would be nice)

Pay somebody to get it inspected if it's a private party sale. Its a hundred bucks well spent.

AutobahnSHO

Good advice, but I've never followed it. Only big big issue was when I drove Subie with CEL and had to swap engine
Will

Will call about it tomorrow, maybe offer $5k even. IF it has the room I want. It's only 2wd and gets crappy gas mileage.
