V8 Vantage Roadster for my daily driver.

One of the guys on my watch forum just recently traded his Elise in on one. His is an auto, though. Which I did give him a little bit of hell for.

If the Golf R is available in 4 door with a stick and a sunroof when I'm ready to buy a car, I might not get an SUV.

Just drove a 2016 S6. It's good, but I don't think it's a buy. Some key failings, which may be endemic to the whole class. Just missing a little...soul, to be cliched.

M5 is back running fine as far as I can tell. And with an almost new looking interior. After a couple of no problem years, this has been its "annus horribilis" so far. Total this year has been 7 weeks down and about 2.5K in repairs. Had I done the work at dealers I'd have spent about 10K this year.

Still ok for exotic V10 sedan. But here's hoping I get a year or so of no troubles. Fingers crossed.

Start it about once a week, let it warm up sufficiently so that all fluids, etc. are at optimal operating temperatures and drive it once, gently, around the block, and then park it.  You should make it through the year without any major calamities other than a bit of tire rot.

Not really. Prices are super reasonable. It was $260 labour to replace the pump motor and another $240 for the interior refurbishment.

The future, today and tomorrow...

Quote
Charging pads let electric car owners cut the cord

In the future, suppliers envision a world where wireless chargers would be built directly into roadways so the car would charge while you drive, eliminating range anxiety. The coils could be built into designated highway lanes, or at places where cars often idle, such as stoplights and on-street parking spots. If wireless charging is implemented in parking garages or lots, autonomous EVs could one day park themselves over the pads and, when fully charged, move another vehicle in to charge.

Alright, I know a lot of it is fleet sales, but Nissan is out selling Honda on the year as of last month.  That just blows my mind in so many ways.  I can't think of a single Nissan product I want.

I'm skimming through the comments, and one dude talks about LS swaps being overplayed and someone should swap a shitty VQ into an E46.  I swear, that has to be sporty.  No one else would say that.
