Volvo's parent company seems to be doing well with utilizing that talent to produce products that actually look halfway decent. These cars use an all-new modular chassis called BMA, which is a smaller and simpler variant of the CMA platform that underpins the XC40 and the Lynk & Co cars.


The Bin Rui sedan is about ~180 inches in length, and about the same length as and class as a Chevy Cruze. The SX11 (no name yet) is in the ever popular B-segment SUV class. Both cars get a tax-evading 1.0L turbo, and a naturally aspirated 1.4L. The 1.5T will likely be shared with the V40 and XC40.

Are they? US customers seem to hate design risks, with a few exceptions. I think these cars look smart, if kind of generic.

Everyone else isn't from a country deemed the posterchild of unfair trade by half the country

And it's not working out for a lot of brands.... Honda, Toyota and Subaru are the only companies able to sell mainstream sedans here without Mitsubishi Mirage sized discounts. A few days ago I saw a new $20K Chevy Cruze marked down to $13K.
