BMW unveiled a host of details Tuesday on its duo of new all-electric cars, the i4 sedan and the iX crossover. Enthusiasts will be pleased to know the performance-oriented i4 M50 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the segment, with 536 horsepower on tap and a 0-62 time under four seconds. Best of all? It's cheaper than a base M3.

First BMW I've been interested in a while. The base i4 eDrive40 would be plenty. Base price is a little high, at least BMW still qualifies for the full $7500 tax credit for now.

Who the fuck designed the iX?  It is an atrocious disaster with not one stylistic redeeming quality.  Jesus christ what has happened to BMW over the past 10 years?

The overall styling isn't so bad, but those plastic bits over what had been intake and exhaust just look horribly cheap.

But it costs like 20-30% more than the M340i. And the equivalent Model 3 for that matter. They whiffed it
