Not in the full monte just yet, but I am hearing that it's expected in December 2012... but betting January '13. Nevertheless, not far off and a lot of promise!

2014 Dodge Durango will receive a dramatic refreshening, yet little is known except for Charger's race track inspired rear exterior rear lighting. Diesel option is expect. More info to come -- soon.
2014 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will likely benefit from many of the JGC advances but expect more of everything, including seating for 7-8 and lots of bling. No word as to availability of a diesel. Stay tuned.

I love the current Grand Cherokee. This looks like it'll get even better. Every time I see one, it turns my head.
 Probably the best in class already. A new transmission, some interior goodies, and an available diesel will keep this at or near the top. I really like these and am glad when I get one as a rental.
I, too, am a fan of the current JGC. It's only going to get better from what I am hearing.
Love the GC. It would be my choice if I wanted something that size. Still in love with the Evoque. It's relatively the same size as the original GC and has a similar ride height. That is based on no metrics, but just my observation after seeing the Evoque in person and being a previous GC owner.
Speaking of, I get a rental 4x4 SUV next week in TX/NM. What should I "hope" for??
Depends on what class. I'd hope for a grand Cherokee as a rental. That's about as good as you're going to get. Durango is pretty similar, but I prefer the Jeep.
I think all Compact CUV's are 'nice', but I would rather have a Hyundai twin or a GM twin over an Escape. The new Escape is nice, but some points I don't feel are comfortable as other makes and models.

I wish I had that tranny... ugh
Thats a fantastic quote taken out of context
The MY14 JGC look vastly improved in every respect without losing its true character. I really like its far cleaner, more elegant lines and no nonsense shape. Perfect light, yet thorough redesign. Well done.
