2018 Audi RS5 Coupe Is No Fun To Drive, Says This Review
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbxZyOW0lWw
The first and most important thing one needs to know about Audi's all-new RS5 Coupe is that it's mind-blowing fast.
Secondly, it's one of the most aggressive-looking cars on sale today, with large air intakes, sharp lines, and massive wheels, so the head-turning factor is there.
However, it's not all perfect, as it's apparently not as involving to drive as its two main rivals, the Mercedes-AMG C63 and the BMW M4. CarBuyer says that its steering feels light and numb, and this ruins the overall joy of taking it out on a twisty mountain road, making it comparable to a grand tourer rather than a proper sports car.
On the road, the 2018 RS5 Coupe is quiet, refined, and comfortable. There's no sense of drama, apart from the brutal acceleration, and if this doesn't bother you at all, then perhaps the more affordable S5 should suit your taste better.
It's just as well equipped, it has the same sports seats at the front, and it's also powered by a V6 engine. You'll also save some €20,000 ($23,055) in Europe by going for the S5 - and that's a significant amount.

I can report that the S5 is fun to drive.
Cars can be nose heavy, or weigh more than ~3300lb.... not both.

In that case you'd enjoy those SUVs that you dread.

Have you driven the new model? It's much more involving than a lot of FRCs out there. A huge improvement over the last gen S4.

Says the owner of an Infiniti G.
Reviews are a bit harsh on the S4 and S5 as well - generally, softer and not as interesting as predecessors - slushie AT, no MT, turbo lag, faux shifter.
The Audi enthusiast torch has passed to the S3 and RS3...

Many of the complaints lobbied at this car could be made for the 3 series................................................
This seems to have been the overall trend for the current A4/5 series of cars; incredibly competent and fast, but kinda boring. It's almost like Audi decided that what BMW did with the F30 was the right move and followed along.

It's because cars suck now.

There is still a decent list of cars I have positive feelings about.
GTI
2 series
GS350 (RIP)
911 Carrera
Evora
Stinger GT
G80 5.0
XF
370Z
Miata
GT86/BRZ
Mustang
Camaro
Corvette
I mean if there aren't like 3 cars on that list one couldn't see themselves owning they just hate everything. Shit's not that bad; romanticizing the past excessively is played out.
Is the Evora still for sale in the US?
I think so. IIRC they are selling the Evora 400

Okay, then there are definitely three on that list. Don't know what a G80 is, though, but my guess is that I don't want it.

It's the big (but not biggest) Hyundai, so that's an affirmative

Right, because those nose heavy understeering pigs were known for their dynamic prowess

Drive them (or the VW alternate, the Golf R) and report back (preferably w/graphs).

Let's do a deal. I'll go test drive these new fangled veedubs and you get an X5M test drive.

Yay... Apply gas coming out of a turn and watch yourself plow off the road. So fun...
Speaking of the G80 my local dealer has one in this combo and I gotta admit it's a looker in person especially in overcast conditions where the color takes on a real slate blue look.

They are a lot more intriguing with that new 3.3T too. Still waiting on the G70 and Stinger GT though.
