Title: Hyundai Kona EV
Post by: 2o6 on February 27, 2018, 01:13:59 PM
This is the electric variant of Hyundai's B-SUV, the Kona.

The Kona EV comes in two flavors; a regular EV with a 39 kwh battery pack and 135HP motor, or a "Long Range" EV with 200HP and a 64kwh battery pack.

Hyundai claims a whopping 292 miles, but that's using the WTLP cycle. (The Ampera-E is rated for 323 miles on the same cycle)

I really like the styling a lot. The "EV" details really clean up a design I thought was kind of messy.

That looks like a great package

Probably pretty slim odds that it'll be below $35k though.

The short range version will probably be cheaper. 15000 have declared interest in the car to Norwegian dealers.

Aren't EVs still massively subsidized in Norway?

The exterior looks Citroen-y, in a quirky good way

Volkswagen caught napping again. This is exactly what a semi-premium brand should be offering.

It's more that they are exempt from all taxes, but the effects are the same.
