Hmm. That could be awesome or terrifying.

Subie-engined  VWs have been a thing for a while now; but not often STi engines in Beetles.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I guess I've seen bigger engines before. There was one at a Goodguys show with a mid-engined nailhead

Caddy 500 or Olds 455 setups used to be a thing too. But, the Subie engines use the VW transmissions, which make it a lot easier. There's a company that sells Subie-engined Vanagons for about 25 grand.

That's a much needed upgrade in the vans. A decent stroker engine is adequate in Beetles.

WHY do people post these kind of pictures?

They want $1300 for the car, some rust, although the frame is supposedly ok.

That thing is trashed.  Would not be an enjoyable project for me, but would be a great before/after transformation project.

Best 'vert I can find tonight...

I dated a girl with a dark blue one. Not a bad car, although the dash is sooooooo long. Pretty sure the base of the windshield is half a mile away from the driver's seat. Drives fairly well, just needs more power.

Too girly for you.

I saw a dark green turbo one full of girls the other day, top down.

We saw a red one in Wyoming. I went to look, curious about rear seat room, my son said something, I off-handed said some people make fun of them for being girlie. Owner dude comes up behind me. Says it's good in the snow. I said we had been looking but the back seat looks small (front was touching it), he said the front seats go forward...

I'll be looking at others for sure, this would be way low on the list, below murano 'vert. :mrcool:

Those scoot along fine in turbo form.  +1 to the mile-long dashboard, tho.

Rear seats are basically useless for anyone near the size of an adult, though, so keep that in mind.

I don't think they're all that girly, at least not the latest ones.  I actually quite like the looks.

I dated two girls with Beetles actually.  They're awful

They're not very easy to work on. It's all of the weirdness of the Golf/Jetta IV, but everything is more inaccessible

I like the new ones too. Especially with a turbo graphic on the doors like a 911

Wow, yeah. WTF's up with that center headlight?

Spotlight!  Gotta illuminate the line to get into the club when you roll up in the MSV!

Cool machine, but one of my pet peeves when it comes to ads is TURN THE FUCKING STEERING WHEEL STRAIGHT  :rage:. Oh, and take 2 minutes to run some Armor All wipes over the dash.

Why would you put all that money/effort into it and sell it so quickly?  Who the fuck gets their Thule box paint-matched? :wtf:

Saw that car in person last weekend.  It's actually pretty nice, and will sell no problem.
