Friend had the 4 cyl. I did test drive the 1.8 V6, and it was a smooth and gutsy engine. Imagine if they put it in the Miata and developed it further.
They did put one in a Miata and tested it. But we all know nothing became of it. I think it would've been perfect for that car. All aluminum, smooth and more power. It would've made the NA more livable  on long highway drives

It's cool that it's such low miles, but...that's about it.

Lol, "as is where is". Add another $10 mil to get it airworthy.

It claims it air worthy now; the maintenance and operating cost would be staggering.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

That and you have to know WTF you're doing in an F-4 more then some of the other ones. I'd die in less then a minute

No, "air capable". The restoration is 85% complete, no avionics, and the engines still need overhaul. But yeah, maint and operating costs would be insane.

Imagine the only way to really do that would be to hire a retired F4 pilot.

Blows my mind they even made/sold 97 of those.  Barf.
Right! But Imma be honest (I got roasted by a few guys in the Vette forum for this) I think the first Gen Vettes are ugly. The move to dual headlights helped but I've never been a fan!

And they either made or assembled them just a few miles from me; so I saw them occasionally on the road.

Could they possibly cram more crap into that engine bay? Do you have to remove the entire engine to change a spark plug or oil filter?   :mrcool:

I don't know, but is this the perfect winter car?

Actually, no.  I should try to find an S4 convertible.

Is it ridiculous to own a Z4 for the warm and cool 9 months out of the year and get a TT Roadster for the winter?  I know the coupe would be more practical, but it's not like I haven't driven with the roof down when there was snow on the ground.

Why not just get a set of winter tires/wheels for the Z4... keep them at your parents house, problem solved

This is probably more practical.  What is it about having a manual transmission that makes cars look better?  X3 has always been a bit blah, but seeing it with a manual makes it hot.

I think you are really overestimating how much fun a third pedal will add to a crossover

Just submit... leave the fun for the Z

I can't go into my parents' house at the moment. It's the epicenter of a massive legal battle. Besides, the Z4's ground clearance is so low that I won't be able to go anywhere once it starts to snow anyway.

I know it's not about fun, it's more about control. I don't like the decisions that automatics make. If I am going to stick with an auto, I might as well just keep the S4. Cars just look and feel better when there's a manual.

TT's have always been underrated, but the Mk2 and Mk3 are supposed to be quite good.
