Indycar aero kits fail

Watching the St. Petersburg opener... what a fiasco. The new aero kits, with their multiple fragile pieces are breaking apart at the slightest contact... yellow after friggin yellow to clean up the pieces. Did nobody see this problem happening?

Well, after most of the cars shed their aero bits, it turned into a race at the end. Montoya won.

Probably. It's definitely suffered since the IRL/CART war. Still prefer it over Nascar.

The aero seemed kinda odd - was it really that much better than other, less extreme options?

Wonder if they'll change anything before the next race or if that's just how it'll be the whole season.

Sounds  they are trying to draw in Nascar viewers with constant yellow flags, restarts and position shuffling.

I refused to watch IRL because it was all ovals and because it was them that split from Indycar.

Of course that's the speedway config above... hopefully the roadcourse wings are kept simple.

Also, I can't stand indy car anymore.  The "push to pass" is worthless if the person your trying to pass uses it at the same time.  F1 DRS is much better thought out.

Every race also seems to be about fuel mileage as well which just blows.  Obviously refueling is needed in a 500 mile oval race, but I like F1 style no refueling on road courses.

Indycar races are much more exciting to watch than F1 IMO. There are a lot more lead changes and the pole winner rarely wins the race. You're lucky to see one pass in 20 min of F1 racing.
