Someone said they'd want a Turbo S for a daily if they won the lotto. I thought that was a really weird choice.

Bra.  You couldn't even daily drive a 350Z.  Stop acting like you're some hard ass that'd daily drive a car without AC or a radio.

911R can be equipped with A/C and a radio though. FAIL.

And if I won the lottery I wouldn't be commuting 500 miles a week. Z was great when I was working from home. You might as well say 'I would go with the Turbo S cause it has better gas mileage'. If you won the lotto what does that shit matter?

You get an A for effort but maybe next time! Don't take it so personally!

Yeah, the Turbo S continues to get more and more absurd.  IMO, it's the perfect daily driver.  If I won the lottery, that's what I'd daily.

BTW Mr H this was not meant as a call out, I just thought that was really interesting. Calm down

For me, 911 R no question. Like I said the Z was pretty good before I started to have to commute with it. I think that was the turning point. If I won the lotto I wouldn't work so a hardcore sports car for a daily would work for sure.

If I won the lottery, give me an all weather capable weapon that doesn't beat me up.  I'd have plenty of money for track toys too (BAC mono, GT3 RS, etc), but I wouldn't daily drive those in snowy Ohio.

911R. Because 3 pedals.

Give me one without A/C or radio either. That shit is useless in California (where I'm obviously going to stay if I win the lottery).

I wouldn't daily either down here because both our to exotic. If I was offered a 911R at MSRP I'd pick that.

But I totally agree with Mike that the Turbo S is the much better daily.

Just noticed Civic is an option in the poll. Given that this thread was started by Sporty, definitely that all the way.

Lotto money = you will probably need new friends, and redefined relationships with a lot of family. Plus lotto money = no need for a home base anyway. 2% a year of a couple million dollars = me n' wifey will be luxury nomads, with me hitting up tracks on various cars & bikes around the world. "Jeeves, send the Exige V6 and RC213-S to Suzuka in two weeks :golfclap:" So in a way to me the concept of a lotto money daily driver doesn't make sense.... hundreds of millions of dollars in the bank, why limit myself to one car, one house, one location etc.? Dream bigger ;)

But for the sake of the thread, between these two, I would prefer to jump in the 911 R for a milk run. Naturally it would be up at our summer house on a mountain. Launch control, vacuum cleaner induction noises and foul weather traction don't hold a candle to nailing 8800 RPM downshifts echoing off of rock walls  If I had lotto $$$ I would never experience a nasty cold up north winter again.....

I've been all up and down that state (well, to an extent). I can't remember a single time I wasn't using AC. If it gets over 70, the AC gets turned on.

And I like music when I drive, so some sort of music system is necessary.

I haven't used the A/C in years in my car so I pulled it out last month. None of the houses I've lived in in this area have A/C either so I don't feel it's needed.

That's nice. You making a point not to use A/C though doesn't mean everyone else has to though. You are like those guys who run around in shorts in the winter. "What? What? I don't even feel it. I'm not cold. What? What? Bro it feels like summer *jogs in place*"
